DIRECTIONS FOR USE: NASAL TURBUHALER™

  • Gently blow your nose.
  • Unscrew and remove the cap.
  • Load a dose: hold the nasal inhaler upright and turn the coloured grip as far as it will go in one direction then turn it back as far as it will go in the opposite direction. You should hear a “click”. If not, you will not receive any medication. If you are not sure that you heard the “click”, you may repeat the operation: you will not receive a double dose by mistake.
  • If you are using a new nasal inhaler, repeat the preceding step before using it for the first time. Otherwise, load only one dose before each use.
  • Turn your head away from the nasal inhaler and exhale deeply. Never breathe out through the nasal adapter.
  • Hold it as shown in the drawing on the left. Place the nasal adapter in one nostril. Block the other nostril with a finger.
  • Inhale forcefully and deeply through your nose.
  • Remove the inhaler from your nostril and exhale slowly.
  • Repeat in the other nostril, if required.
  • If you need to take another dose, wait at least 1 minute before taking it and do not forget to load the next dose.
  • Wipe the nasal adapter with a dry clean tissue once a week. Never use water or liquid. Recap the nasal adapter.
  • Wait at least 15 minutes after application before blowing your nose.
  • If you drop, shake, or breathe into the nasal inhaler after loading the dose, you will lose the dose. If this happens, repeat the above steps to load another dose.
  • It is normal for individuals not to taste or feel any medication when inhaling dry powder.
  • The nasal Turbuhaler™ inhaler is equipped with a dose indicator. When the red mark appears in the window under the nasal adapter, there are approximately 20 doses left. When the red mark reaches the bottom of the window, the inhaler is empty. Empty inhalers will continue to make a sound when shaken.
