Unlike metered-dose inhalers, the Breezhalerâ„¢ does not contain any propellant gas. When using the Breezhalerâ„¢, it is important to adhere to the following directions

  • Turn your head away from the inhaler, exhaling fully.
  • Place the mouthpiece between your lips without biting.
  • Keep your head straight and inhale steadily and deeply. Listen for the whirring noise as the capsule spins.
  • If there is no whirring sound, check to ensure the capsule isn’t stuck. If it is, gently tap the base of the device.
  • Hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, or longer if possible.
  • After removing the inhaler, exhale gently.
  • Open the inhaler to check for any remaining powder in the capsule. If present, repeat the steps to ensure a complete dose is inhaled.
  • To dispose of the capsule, open the mouthpiece and tilt the inhaler forward to release it.
